Right now you feel those kicks inside your belly that you’ve grown accustomed to. Before you know it your little one will be here. Then you’ll blink and your hearing first words, seeing first steps, and watching your little one go off to their the first day of school. Where has the time gone?
You will always want to be able to look back and remember when your little one was brand new. When you were all they knew in this great big world.
I know how precious these photos are to you, so please take a look around and see if I’m the photographer for you.
Step 1: Do you like my work?
Take the time to celebrate the newest addition to your family with newborn portraits. But there are so many styles to choose from. Do you want posed or lifestyle photos? There are differences in the look and the feel of each type. This is one of the most important decisions you make. So make sure you know the difference between posed and lifestyle newborn photos. I am a posed newborn photographer. I love to put babies in to adorable outfits and pose them. While I love to include parents and siblings in the photos, most of the photos have your baby as the center of attention.
Then there’s style to consider. You should always go to a photographer who’s style you love. Don’t just pick me for my winning personality (I kid). Pick me because you love my darker moodier style. I love the shadows. It’s not fair to choose someone with a brighter airier style and then ask for a darker moodier style. Do you like matte? Or do you like crisp clean photos? These are things to consider.
Here are some of my favorite Baton Rouge newborn portraits. If you like what you see, then please continue reading. If not (that’s ok!), then I wish you the best in your search for a newborn photographer. In the end, I want you to love your newborn photos.
Luca was such a sweet baby who snoozed right though his session. He was an absolute dream to pose, and I love the image of him with his sister.
Remington was such a sweet baby. She preferred to be wrapped, so she got lots of adorable photos in my favorite props.
